Stri-Roga & Prasuti- Tantra is a branch of medicine & medical specialty dealing with the management of Pregnancy, labour & post-labour recovery period and Diagnosis & treatment of diseases of the female reproductive system and the female genital tract. Prasuti – Tantra & Stri- Roga is a clinical Department that teach obstetrics and Gynecology in IIIrd Professional of B.A.M.S course.

Ayurvedic concept of PTSR is studied at this level, which involves primarily the sharirsthana, uttartantra and chikitsa- sthana of basic Ayurvedic texts of Sushruta Samhita, Charak Samhita and Ashtang Hridya. This discipline provides comprehensive care of women.

Shubhdeep ayurved medical college and hospital is playing a leading role in Indore city to serve humanity and needy peoples by its regular and devotional efforts. To provide health to all, it is important to have good equipment and well developed department. College has well furnished Streeroga and prasuti department, having highly qualified Faculty members and doctors. Various ayurvedic procedures like yoni dhavan, pichudharan, uttarvasti karma are routinely done to to treat the patient and to enhance clinical acumen and confidence among student of ayurveda. Procedures like normal delivery, caesarean section and hysterectomy are successfully carried out under the guidance of experts. Along with delivery, care of neonates and routine examination is also done regularly by Pediatrician. Regular ANC check-up and proper guidance to pregnant women is also carried by the experts of Streeroga and Prasuti department. Regular clinical and theory classes are also conducted. Students are taught to examine the patient and treat them in streeroga and prasuti OPD regularly.

At last, our rural unit is routinely organising camps in various surrounding areas to make awareness among the Women regarding ayurvedic lifestyle and importance of maintaining hygiene for healthy living.
