Dravyaguna is a eminent department in Shubhdeep Ayurved Medical College Indore.

The Central Council  of Indian Medicine of Govt. of India has designed a syllabus for the B.A.M.S. . The department impart the subject to this course, focus of the department is to provide thorough knowledge of medicinal plants regarding identification macroscopic and microscopic characters, demonstration of organoleptic characteristic, Herbarium file preparation along with concepts of dravyaguna vigyan.

Departmental library is enriched with 60 books of Dravyaguna, pharmacology, pharmacognosy  & samhitas etc.

Herbal garden of department have 265 species of medicinal plants. We have 235 samples of dry medicinal plants.

Department have 188 charts made by students demonstrating principles of Ayurveda and photographs of medicinal plants.

Department have 131 photographs of medicinal plants.
