To diagnose and to treat human diseases or deformity, a physician must know the normal and abnormal structures of the human body, for this a medical student at the beginning of his/her curriculum, is introduced with subject called “Anatomy” (Rachana Sharir), which acquaints a student with human body structures like- bones, muscles, blood vessels and other vital organs.

 The “Department of Rachana Sharir” of SAMCH Indore trains the students in all branches of human Anatomy using Ancient and modern innovative methods. We have human cadavers (dead-body), on them dissection is performed by students under the guidance of the eminent faculties of our institute.  A separate cadaver embalming room and cadaver storage room situated in the department.

Our department is well equipped with specimens, charts, models in sufficient number for demonstration. Department has a departmental library, computer and internet facilities through which students can read and understand the subject in audio-visual form. We have a spacious, well lit dissection hall with 12 steel dissection tables and a well organized comprehensive attached anatomy museum providing proper observation and sitting facilities for the students during dissection and demonstration.
